After last weeks flash celebrations at Dover street Market, Barbie yet again has her glad rags on! It seems the 50th birthday bash just wasn't enough for the plastic princess. Despite recieving top treatment from high-end designers Roksanda Ilincic and Danielle Scutt, Barbie has turned her endless charms and signiture style to the flagship windows of prestige Italian furniture store, Kartell. The display windows, in order to recreate a typical Barbie pad have been transformed into six rooms. The designer set-up is made up of a living room, tea room, dressing room, outdoor patio and of course, a party terrace. Each room wouldn't be complete without Barbie herself, and she certainly makes an appearance as a life size doll complete with to-die-for Moshino outfit! Among the looks are a pink trompe l'oeil frock for the living room, a cloud print tea dress to match the washroom, a rhinestone adorned gown for none other than the party terrace and some pretty pink houndstooth attire, complete with candy motif towering stillettos and cute clutch for the tea room.
There's no doubt about it, Barbie is a pop culture phenomenon and her career is hotter than ever! Kenneth Cole proves she's a small doll but still a big deal, he's created a capsule line of quirky slogan tees for all her fans! Can't quite get your hands on the real thing, we've come up with a few catwalk copy's to channell the designers off-beat style.
